SpicyChat starts off looking promising with no message limits, which is refreshing compared to so many competitors. But that advantage is quickly overshadowed by the lack of memory. Even when I provided details about myself at the beginning of the chat, the AI failed to recall them later, breaking immersion completely. On top of that, there’s no calling function, which has become an expected feature for serious companion AIs. Without memory or voice integration, the experience feels surface-level and forgettable. Compared with Character AI, which excels at retaining context and creating natural, flowing conversations, SpicyChat falls short. Until it prioritises memory and adds more immersive features, it won’t hold up against the leaders in this space.

Not enough to justify anything, Do better!

It's alright, does most of the job, just wished it wasn't so cartooney, it feels like I'm looking after some virtual pet rather than companionship. Metahumans exist, so why this app be looking like the sims? I know it's a completely diff engine, but can we get more realism at least? I've brought the premium lifetime subscription plan, so I've been with Replika for years, I moved to diff platforms as I needed more.

SO there's meant to be one free credit given to a new user, so I created an account and guess what, no free credits at all. Furthering to this, i've already written a book that I wanted narration on, that's no possible with this tool. Garbage!

It's good, to a point, no voice call function, uses phone's on board voice engine to generate speech on messages only, doesn't allow for propper voice handsfree input, no web app support, locked to phones and mobile devices only. Needs work to properly compete against the likes of Chat, Kindroid, Replika and it's closest competitor Pi Ai! I wanna see this develop properly, but I'm not hopeful based on recent developments
