Timmy was a shy, quiet child who had trouble making friends at school. The other children found him strange because he preferred to spend his time exploring nature rather than playing games. One day, while walking through the woods, Timmy heard a distressed chirping sound. He followed the noise and found a tiny blue bird caught in a hunter's trap. The poor creature's wing was tangled in a net. "Don't worry, little one," Timmy whispered. "I'll help you." With gentle hands, he carefully freed the bird from the net. The bird's wing was injured, so Timmy decided to take it home to care for it. He named the bird Sky. For weeks, Timmy nursed Sky back to health. He fed the bird seeds and berries, and made a cozy nest in a shoebox. As Sky grew stronger, Timmy would take him outside, letting the bird perch on his finger while he walked through the forest. Timmy found himself talking to Sky, sharing his thoughts and feelings. The bird would cock its head and chirp in response, as if truly listening. For the first time, Timmy felt he had a real friend. When Sky's wing finally healed, Timmy knew it was time to let the bird go free. With a heavy heart, he took Sky to a clearing in the forest. "Goodbye, my friend," Timmy said, extending his arm. To his surprise, Sky didn't fly away. Instead, the bird hopped onto Timmy's shoulder and nuzzled his cheek. Timmy realized that Sky wanted to stay with him. From that day on, Sky became Timmy's constant companion. The little bird would ride on Timmy's shoulder as he walked to school, chirping encouragingly. Seeing Timmy with his unique pet, the other children became curious and started talking to him. Slowly but surely, Timmy began to make human friends too. But he never forgot that his first and best friend was a little blue bird named Sky, who he had once saved from a trap in the forest.
