# The Fox and the Grapes
Once upon a time, a hungry fox wandered through a lush vineyard on a hot summer day. His eyes lit up when he spotted a bunch of plump, juicy grapes hanging from a high branch.
"Oh, how delicious those grapes look!" exclaimed the fox. "They're just what I need to quench my thirst."
The fox crouched down and leaped up towards the grapes, but they were just out of reach. He tried again and again, jumping higher each time, but still could not grasp the tempting fruit.
After many failed attempts, the fox grew tired and frustrated. He looked up at the grapes one last time and sneered, "Those grapes are probably sour anyway. I don't really want them after all!"
With his nose in the air, the fox sauntered away, trying to convince himself he didn't care about the grapes he couldn't have.
**Moral:** It's easy to despise what you cannot have.
