The ocean stirs, a beast unseen, A sudden shift, a force obscene. The waves arise, the waters grow, A wall of death begins to flow. It strikes the shore with endless might, Homes are lost in cruel flight. The land is torn, the cries are loud, Beneath the waves—a ghostly shroud. The boats once danced upon the tide, Now shattered, scattered far and wide. The hands that worked, the lives once bright, Are washed away in darkest night. Yet hope remains in hearts so strong, They mend, rebuild, they move along. For though the sea may take and roar, The human spirit rises more.
