Drafted V2 is the second generation AI model powering Drafted's house plan generator. Instead of a free-form text prompt, it takes structured inputs such as room lists, square footage, and site details, then produces multiple floor plan layouts. Users can select and regenerate individual areas until satisfied, then customize exterior materials. Outputs include 2D floor plans, exterior renders, 3D models, and professional CAD/BIM exports for downstream design work. Drafted states V2 improves floor plan generation accuracy roughly fivefold over the prior model and increases generation speed by about 60 percent. The model is trained on real house plans from homes that were built and passed permitting, keeping outputs within practical construction constraints. It currently supports single story home design, with multi story capability in development.
