Description
FourCastNet 3 (FCN3) is NVIDIA’s latest Earth-2 global weather model, using scalable geometric machine learning for probabilistic ensemble forecasting. Operating on a 0.25° grid with dozens of variables, it produces stable, physically realistic dynamics across scales and can run long 60-day rollouts. FCN3 matches or exceeds top diffusion-based and numerical ensemble systems like IFS-ENS while being 8–60x faster, enabling much larger ensembles and more detailed risk assessments.
