Qwen-Image-2512 is the December upgrade of the Qwen-Image text-to-image model, built as a 20B-parameter multimodal Diffusion Transformer focused on reducing the “AI look.” It sharpens facial features, hair and skin, improves landscapes, fur and water, and significantly boosts typography and layout for Chinese and English text. Benchmarks like AI Arena rank it among the strongest open-source image generators, and it is released under Apache 2.0 with ready-to-use pipelines for diffusers, ComfyUI and local deployment.

Qwen-Image-2512 is Qwen’s December 2025 update to its 20B text-to-image foundation model, with more realistic humans, finer natural textures and much better Chinese-English text rendering, released as open-source Apache-2.0 weights.
