SOMA-X is an NVIDIA framework for unifying parametric human body models such as SMPL, SMPL-X, MHR, Anny, and GarmentMeasurements. It introduces SOMA, a canonical body topology and rig that acts as a shared pivot across otherwise incompatible body models, allowing different identity sources and pose data to be mixed without custom model-pair adapters. The pipeline is end-to-end differentiable, GPU-accelerated through NVIDIA Warp, and designed for human reconstruction, animation, simulation, digital humans, and character-rigging workflows.
