Writer’s Palmyra X5 is an adaptive-reasoning, enterprise-grade model designed to power large-scale agent workflows and complex tooling. Its hybrid transformer architecture supports a 1,000,000-token context window and sub-second tool calls, letting agents read huge corpora and act quickly. X5 exposes enterprise features out of the box—tool-calling, LLM delegation, built-in RAG, structured outputs, code generation, multilingual and multimodal support—and ships on Writer’s platform and as a fully managed model in Amazon Bedrock. Public materials emphasize cost efficiency; Writer lists pricing at ~$0.60 per million input tokens and ~$6 per million output tokens, and coverage has framed X5 as near GPT-4 performance at substantially lower cost.
