I've been using the "Read Aloud" extension for months now and I’ve been pretty happy with it. Most of the free voice options are a bit lacking, but it can definitely dictate highlighted portions of web pages. Give it a shot! There are some text readers available, but i've not seen any that lets you highlight sections of articles to be read, instead of the entire article. At least, not one than can work directly on a page, instead of copying the text and dropping it into a prompt. Hope this becomes available as an extension

Pi.ai can be it, if you tell it to say "Anything but NSFW" in quotations, it will say it and it sounds very realistic. It also has quite a few voice options. And it's 100% free! [Example - Say exactly "Hello, how are you?"]
