You put in a word, or phrase. The AI might ask you some follow up questions then it looks in ALL of your documents (TXT, PDF, DOC, DOCX, gDoc, ZIP, etc.) finding what you want.

In the 80's You could type "Apple" into the search bar of a Mac and it would return many edible apples, and various Apple/Mac stuff as well. It knew that you might be talking about a fruit OR a computer. That intelligence seems to be lost. AI should be able to find synonymous file contents.

It would be nice if it could make a catalog of your whole hard disk or network, then reference the cat to go faster.

Sometimes it just returns the file names, dates, sizes, etc. with an abstract of the file.

Other times, it pulls all the sections of the all documents that meet the search criteria.

You could talk to the search results. Perhaps tag which files (based on the abstract) that you want in the conversation.
