An industrial paint robot designed for high-speed, high-efficiency automated painting, integrating paint application equipment and process control for flexible and precise coating operations.
Specs
The IRB 5500 FlexPainter integrates paint process equipment directly into the robot arm, placing components such as pumps as close as 15 cm from the wrist to reduce paint and solvent waste. It supports up to 32 color change valves with circulation, handles both solvent- and water-based paints, and features high acceleration and speed enabled by ABB’s RB1000 atomizer. The robot has a 13 kg payload, IP67 protection, and is controlled by the IRC5P system, which manages both motion and paint processes.
