Overview
Seedance is an AI video generation model built to create multi-shot video sequences from text and image prompts, and it can also support workflows that use audio and video as references for joint audio-video generation and editing.It targets high-resolution, cinematic-looking output with strong motion stability and more realistic physical behavior, especially in complex scenes, while staying closely aligned to the user's instructions.
It supports a wide dynamic range of motion, from subtle expressions to fast, action-heavy choreography, while aiming to keep movement coherent and believable across frames.
It is designed for multi-shot storytelling, maintaining consistency in subject identity, visual style, and atmosphere across shot transitions and scene changes so sequences feel continuous rather than stitched together.
It can follow "cinematic language" instructions, including camera movement and visual effects cues, and it can be guided by storyboard-like direction to better structure shots and transitions.
In addition to generation, it supports reference-driven controllability and iterative workflows (for example using provided inputs to steer outputs and perform edits), positioning it as both a creative and developer-friendly tool.
