Devstral 2 is Mistral’s next-generation 123B-parameter dense transformer coding model with a 256K context window, released together with the 24B Devstral Small 2 under permissive open-source licenses. It targets code agents, reaches about 72 percent on SWE-bench Verified, and supports exploration of large codebases plus image inputs. Combined with Mistral Vibe CLI, an Apache-2.0 open-source terminal assistant, it can scan projects, modify multiple files, run shell commands and coordinate end-to-end software engineering tasks through a project-aware natural-language chat interface.
