I was having that trouble at first too. If you enter in an airport code - like FLL for Fort Lauderdale, FL it will give you a prompt of airports and locations you are flying from.

I finally can look to see what type of flight deals there are in my area without having to know where I want to go. I love it! Great for last minute travelers and wanderers.
