Word Problem Solver
Overview
Word Problem Solver is a GPT designed to assist users in solving mathematical word problems. It offers detailed, step-by-step explanations to facilitate the problem-solving process.
Built upon the capabilities of ChatGPT, the Word Problem Solver GPT is more specialized, aiming to address the specific field of numerical word problems.
Users interact with the tool through prompts that frame their queries in the form of problems to be solved or equations to be balanced. For instance, users can start with prompt starters such as 'Help me solve this math problem', 'Can you balance this equation?', 'Can you explain the steps to solve this problem?' or 'How do I convert this to grams?', which guides the GPT in understanding the problem context better.
The GPT primarily aims at assisting individuals having trouble with mathematical word problems by providing clear and easy-to-understand explanations.
Sam Haygood is the author behind the Word Problem Solver GPT. It requires a ChatGPT Plus subscription to use, a part of the advanced features and extended utilities provided by ChatGPT Plus.
Overall, Word Problem Solver proves to be a useful tool in the field of education, specifically mathematics, aiding and improving the learning experience by making problem-solving simpler and more interactive.

4,61464Released 11mo agoFree + from $9.99/moFor some problems, it does a good job of calculations and video explanation. However, for some, the drawings are not correct, and it left out a part of the calculation in the video (although it does calculate correctly at least). This would be confusing. An example was where I asked it to calculate the area of a circle inside of a right-angle triangle. It drew the circle outside of the triangle, and then in the calculation, it did not have the square root of a^2 b^2 to find c, but at least did that. If the tool is to be effective, it needs to be clear and accurate in order to not create further misconceptions.
