FR3 Duo
About
A reference dual-arm research robot system combining two Franka Research 3 arms on a single mount, designed for bimanual manipulation, control, and imitation learning with minimal integration overhead.
Specs
FR3 Duo consists of two fully featured Franka Research 3 arms mounted on a compact shared structure, forming a bimanual manipulation platform. Each arm provides a reach of 855 mm, a payload capacity of 3 kg, 7 degrees of freedom, and 7 integrated torque sensors. The system supports low-level 1 kHz real-time control via the Franka Control Interface (FCI) and full ROS 2 ecosystem integration. Perception is enabled through a head-mounted stereo camera, additional torso and dual wrist cameras, and the mount includes mechanical and electrical expansion points for future upgrades and research add-ons.
