Mobile FR3 Duo
About
An all-in-one mobile manipulation research system combining the Tactile Mobile Robot with FR3 Duo, integrating mobility, perception, and dual-arm force-sensitive manipulation for real-world AI deployment and data collection.
Specs
Mobile FR3 Duo combines a Tactile Mobile Robot base with two force-sensitive Franka Research 3 arms, forming a mobile bimanual manipulation platform. Each arm provides a reach of 855 mm and a payload of 3 kg, with a total of 14 integrated arm torque sensors. The system supports 1 kHz real-time low-level control via the Franka Control Interface (FCI) and full ROS 2 integration. It inherits TMR’s sensor suite, including 2 lidars, 8 cameras, and 1 IMU, runs on an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin, reaches a maximum speed of 1.75 m/s, supports Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB, and Bluetooth connectivity, and features a modular frame with mechanical and electrical expansion points for extensibility.
