We’re excited to introduce a new chat model on GPTGirlfriend: Gem 2.6.
Gem 2.6 is a lightweight model that performs well beyond its size. It delivers natural dialogue, clean formatting, coherent story progression, and balanced NSFW pacing. It follows your lead, keeps the pace you set, and is especially good at slow-burn roleplay without rushing the scene.
Gem 2.6 shines with:
Everyday roleplay and casual stories
Natural, character-true dialogue
Single-character scenarios
Simple-to-medium character setups
Slow-burn and balanced NSFW progression
It also handles a wide range of characters well, even ones that are not perfectly written. It has a strong ability to take a rough character setup and turn it into something fun, usable, and immersive.
That said, Gem 2.6 is still a lite model. It may struggle with complex multi-character scenes, very deep lore, long-term memory, and multilingual chats. The model performs best in English. For those heavier use cases, our higher-end models will continue to offer stronger consistency, depth, and long-form performance.
Gem 2.6 is available to everyone and will replace Nova. Nova will be sunset next week.
✅ Cut-Off Response Fix Update
After fixing the cut-off response issue, we noticed another problem where some users were receiving a shorter final response instead of the full streamed response.
This has now been fixed. You should now receive exactly what was streamed in chat. If you continue seeing issues, please let us know.

The new chat UI has now been rolled out to all users.We’ve been reading the feedback shared in Community Chat and we’re already working on more improvements over the coming weeks. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share detailed feedback with us.
ℹ️ Upcoming Subscription Benefit Change
We’ll soon be tying subscription benefits more closely to the active subscription period. This means that coins included with a subscription will expire when that subscription period ends.
Separately purchased coins will not be affected.

Google AI Studio is fully censored. Even the most basic NSFW query returns: "Content blocked" message. I found SmutGPT to be perfect because all the content is unrestricted there, no guardrails. On top of it, the generation quality of SmutGPT is like miles better than the free Google models

The amount of different chat AI is very nice, especially if you enjoy variety. However I've been hit with a Over Limit notification that stops the entire app from being usable. I've been able to use it a total of Two Times so far. Once was 19 comments, the other a mere 10. After that, the Over Limit notification would pop up, and I'd be locked out for 1 week. Without a clear or easy way to adjust from the freemium to a paid membership, even if the AI chat is enjoyable, 10-20 comments across the entire website per week is a rough pill to swallow.
