31,861119Released 2y agoFree + from $8.25/moit’s a cool tool if you wanna chat with made up characters or build your own. works fine and feels fun. the ui could def be better organized. alsooo letting people upload any pic for their characters makes things kinda messy, some look 🔥, some are like 144p pics. would be sick if they added a 'generate image' button that uses your character's description or lets you write one for it.

That’s more generous than many competitors. But the cracks show quickly. There’s no calling function, and the subscription model $9.99 per month for unlimited messages—feels too barebones for the price. The platform also lacks proper tagging for models, making discovery awkward, and the limited male variety makes it feel unbalanced for users seeking more options. To improve, DreamTavern should expand its male character selection, refine its model tagging, and add immersive features like calling. Compared with Character AI, which offers depth, diversity, and memory, DreamTavern still feels half-baked.

3015Released 1y agoNo pricingThe features sound great. But you cannot try-out this tool without paying (Billed monthly = $14.99/month or Billed yearly and Save 50% = $7.50/month). With Premium Access you can unlock all features of Plottime and generate 30 stories per month with AI in seconds. In the footer there are links to Stories in categories like Children’s, Bedtime stories, Young adult, Fantasy and more. Here you can see examples. Each story has a nice image and an audio listen version using Eleven Labs. But I do wonder, could I create these stories with other AI chat tools?
