**Scavenger Hunt Plan: "Mystery of the Park"** **Target Age Group:** 10-14 years old **Type of Event:** Birthday Party or Summer Camp Outing **Location:** A local city park with walking trails, playgrounds, and various landmarks **Objective:** Work in teams to solve clues and challenges, navigating through the park to uncover the hidden treasure! **Clue 1: Park Map Mayhem** * Location: Park Entrance * Clue: Find the park map near the entrance and identify the symbol of the park's logo. Count the number of playgrounds marked on the map. Multiply that number by 2, and add 5. The answer is the number of steps to take east from the map to find the next clue. * Necessary tool: Park map **Clue 2: Nature's Nuggets** * Location: Woodchip Trail * Clue: Search for three types of leaves on the trail (oak, maple, and pine). Use a leaf-shaped stamp or a pencil to mark the corresponding type on a provided worksheet. The pattern of marks will reveal a letter. Add this letter to the end of the park's name to find the next location. * Necessary tool: Leaf-shaped stamp or pencil, worksheet **Clue 3: Bird's Eye View** * Location: Bird-watching Station * Clue: Identify the type of bird feeder found at the station. Research the average wingspan of that bird species. Measure the distance from the feeder to the nearest park bench using a tape measure or paces. The measurement should match the wingspan. Count the number of benches between the feeder and the playground. The answer is the number of steps to take north to find the next clue. * Necessary tool: Tape measure or paces, research materials **Clue 4: Playground Puzzle** * Location: Main Playground * Clue: Solve a hidden word search on the playground equipment (hint: look for a mural). The last word found will point to a specific slide or climbing structure. Count the number of rungs or steps on that structure. Add 2 to the count, and multiply by 3. The answer is the number of spins on the merry-go-round to find the next clue. * Necessary tool: Word search worksheet **Clue 5: Scavenger Sprint** * Location: Fitness Trail * Clue: Complete three exercises on the fitness trail (pull-ups, sit-ups, and jumping jacks). Record the number of reps completed for each exercise. Use a provided cipher to decode the numbers, revealing a message. The message will direct teams to a specific fitness station, where the next clue awaits. * Necessary tool: Cipher worksheet, fitness trail equipment **Clue 6: Pond Puzzle** * Location: Pond Viewing Area * Clue: Observe the pond's water level and identify the type of fish swimming near the surface. Research the average length of that fish species. Measure the distance from the water's edge to a nearby bench using a tape measure or paces. The measurement should match the fish's length. Count the number of benches between the pond and the park's central fountain. The answer is the number of steps to take west to find the next clue. * Necessary tool: Tape measure or paces, research materials **Clue 7: Artistic Adventure** * Location: Public Art Installation * Clue: Analyze the shapes and colors used in the art piece. Identify the dominant shape and count the number of times it appears. Multiply that number by 4, and add 1. The answer is the number of steps to take east to find the next clue, hidden behind a specific type of tree. * Necessary tool: None **Clue 8: Tree-mendous** * Location: Nature Center * Clue: Identify the type of tree with a unique leaf shape (e.g., Gingko). Research the average height of that tree species. Measure the distance from the tree to a nearby Nature Center exhibit using a tape measure or paces. The measurement should match the tree's height. Count the number of exhibits between the tree and the Nature Center's entrance. The answer is the number of steps to take north to find the next clue. * Necessary tool: Tape measure or paces, research materials **Clue 9: Soundwave** * Location: Amphitheater * Clue: Record the number of seats in the amphitheater. Multiply that number by 2, and add 7. The answer is the number of steps to take west to find the next clue, hidden near a specific type of musical instrument. * Necessary tool: None **Clue 10: Treasure Trove** * Location: Hidden Treasure Spot * Clue: Solve a final puzzle using all the previous answers and clues. Unscramble a message to reveal the combination to a locked treasure chest. **Treasure Chest Contents:** * A treasure map certificate for each team member * A special park-themed prize or treat * A congratulatory message from the park ranger Remember to set a time limit, divide the participants into teams, and ensure safety and supervision throughout the scavenger hunt. Have fun!

tested it on a few neighborhoods. the interface is so stripped down it almost feels unfinished, quick to load but u might hunt for extra fillers. the data look on point, yet they dont dive deep into data sources to explain. overall accuracy feeks solid and the map is smooth, just wish it talked more about the results.
