I've been a premium user for a year now and the dev team (of 1 person!) and CEO have continued to improve the site and remain active in the community and discord. They continually update the chat model for improved user experience, and despite the occasional set back and need to roll back to an earlier model, the chat quality continues to improve. I personally appreciate that they want the user experience to improve. There are no copyrighted characters allowed, so the site only has original characters instead of a flood of the same anime girl. I'll continue supporting Soulkyn as it's only improved since I've started using it.

From the start, you’re forced to log in, only to find that the free plan isn’t clearly explained, and other plan prices aren’t even listed. That lack of transparency already sets the wrong tone. Once in, the shortcomings stack up quickly. There’s no proper memory in chat, no calling function, and not even a voice reading option to bring conversations to life. The credit-based system caps you at just 20 messages instead of offering unlimited use, which feels restrictive. Even basic features are missing — no dark mode, no spelling correction, and no clear way to separate actions from dialogue in chat. The result is a clunky, shallow experience. Against Character AI, Dittin doesn’t stand a chance. Where Character AI delivers immersion, clarity, and flexibility, Dittin struggles with the basics. To move forward, it needs stronger memory, proper feature development, and a more transparent pricing model. Right now, it’s not ready to compete.

The characters have bad memories and repeat the same things even if they did the exact thing a minute ago. Plus, the image generation does not produce images of the right character. And also, at this point, with the myriad free text to speech projects with good quality, text to voice should be standard, yet here it is missing. I will be happy to change my rating if you update this app to work better.
