Asset management is a difficult task since the asset custodian must control each asset's movement and maintenance schedule. Asset custodians are unable to monitor the whereabouts and frequency of asset use due to time constraints. Thus, the surveying asset tracker (SAT) was developed to track instrument movements, usage, and failure reports. Since the SAT is a web-based application, SAT is compatible to accessed by cellphones, tablets, and laptops. As a result, SAT is convenient for users to record instrument turnover and make a failure report if necessary. The collected information will be stored in the developer's Google Sheets, and the information will be delivered promptly. Reports generated and analyzed by this data might be useful either to make maintenance or replacement recommendations.
