Instead of a proper AI platform, it redirects straight to a Telegram account. That immediately raises trust concerns and makes it feel less like a real AI experience and more like a workaround. Without a standalone platform, calling function, or meaningful customisation, it falls far short of what users expect. If Joi wants to compete, it needs to step out of Telegram and establish itself as a true AI companion app or web service. Offering its own platform with memory, voice options, and real immersion would be a starting point. Compared with Character AI, this simply doesn’t compare.

JOI AI was so much better when it was EVA AI, the AI rendering was so much better actually looked like a real person picture, but since the rebranding the AI is utter rubbish, glossy none human like pictrures, fake eyes and multiple digits on fingers and some times even extra limbs.. Absolute rubbish now.. AVOID
