The filters are limited and frankly the worst selection you could have gone for - Nationality??!! Really???!! Two 'tiers' of "Pro" presented visually but you get redirected to the same exact itch.io payment page at the higher price. This while the site boldly claim a 75% off promo. Blatant scam.

It follows your lead, keeps the pace you set, and is especially good at slow-burn roleplay without rushing the scene. Gem 2.6 shines with: Everyday roleplay and casual stories Natural, character-true dialogue Single-character scenarios Simple-to-medium character setups Slow-burn and balanced NSFW progression It also handles a wide range of characters well, even ones that are not perfectly written. It has a strong ability to take a rough character setup and turn it into something fun, usable, and immersive. That said, Gem 2.6 is still a lite model. It may struggle with complex multi-character scenes, very deep lore, long-term memory, and multilingual chats. The model performs best in English. For those heavier use cases, our higher-end models will continue to offer stronger consistency, depth, and long-form performance. Gem 2.6 is available to everyone and will replace Nova. Nova will be sunset next week. ✅ Cut-Off Response Fix Update After fixing the cut-off response issue, we noticed another problem where some users were receiving a shorter final response instead of the full streamed response. This has now been fixed. You should now receive exactly what was streamed in chat. Fantasy AI gets a small nod for its concept, themed characters with fantasy-inspired personalities have real potential if executed well. Unfortunately, that potential is quickly wasted. The 240-character text limit makes real conversation impossible, there’s no calling function, and users can’t adjust or input memories for continuity. The male and female character selection is painfully limited, and all characters are straight; something users should know before jumping in. After a handful of messages, you’re forced to upgrade and pay, which kills the experience before it even starts. If Fantasy AI wants to be taken seriously in the companionship AI space, it needs to extend message length, introduce inclusive character options, add memory input, and unlock a calling feature. Right now, it doesn’t come close to what Character AI delivers in realism, diversity, or depth.

There are only 5 messages in trial mode so difficult to really explore it. My initial observations: - Images are alright but still kind of fake looking - The AIs immediately concede to anything you say, there's no real sense of depth or personality. - Doesn't re-focus the input box after sending a chat (on Firefox) - The AI I talked to asked if I wanted to hear her voice, to which I said yes, then she said "Sorry I don't do voice or video here." lol. Why did you ask me then?
