Focus group results After vetting the survey for duplicate entries, we were left with 10 users that participated in the focus group The average user had used the app for 3 weeks, and the average frequency was daily 100% of the users felt the app helped them improve their mental health, and 90% of them felt the app gave them a better ability to handle emotional distress. The average perceived mental health score went from a 3.8 to a 8.4 on a 1-10 scale -
The initial free version does not allow for starting a conversation that has already concluded. I asked the GPT if it would remember information about me or if I would be a "new person" for it in each session, and it said that each session is new. This is very discouraging because it is not possible to have a complete conversation.

Looks like their paid version isn't working. Don't waste your money on this one.

Mentalyc has been a very useful addition to my workflow as a mental health provider. Writing therapy progress notes used to take a significant amount of time after each session, but using Mentalyc to generate structured drafts from session recordings has helped reduce that burden. The notes it generates are organized and clinically meaningful, especially in formats like SOAP and DAP. It highlights important elements such as presenting issues, interventions, and client engagement, which makes it easier to review and finalize documentation efficiently. I also appreciate that it supports staying compliant with documentation standards while reducing mental load and burnout related to admin tasks. It doesn’t replace clinical judgment, but it does make the documentation process smoother and more consistent. For therapists looking for an AI-powered note writing assistant, Mentalyc is definitely worth exploring.

As someone who's waded through Jung's Collected Works more times than I care to admit, I'm pleasantly surprised by how faithfully this "Carl Jung" chat channels the old doctor's voice. The responses don't just name-drop archetypes and anima/animus for effect, they weave those ideas into nuanced, context-sensitive answers. For a chat, this is extremely nice, well done!
