SummyGPT
Overview
SummyGPT is a Generative Pretrained Transformer (GPT) that functions as a personal book summarizer. Developed by Escapebox, this tool leverages the functionalities of ChatGPT to deliver a concise summary of books based on user's input, providing readers with the essence of the content.
SummyGPT requires the user to have a ChatGPT Plus subscription to work to its full potential. Upon initiating a session, SummyGPT welcomes the user and gathers initial data by asking a few quick questions to personalize the summarizing experience.
It employs a series of prompt starters, symbolized by the unicode character 'target' (), guiding the user to input the information about the book they want to summarize.
Once the information is provided, the tool then processes the data, effectively condenses the subject matter, and presents a summary. It is designed for users who desire a swift understanding of books, cutting through the lengthy reading process.
As such, SummyGPT could be potentially useful for researchers, students, or just anyone keen on extracting key information from books rapidly and efficiently.
The exact precision, processing speed, and the length of the generated summaries might vary, but the tool maintains an emphasis on delivering accurate, relevant, and concise summaries.

Alexandru Bostina๐ ๏ธ 2 tools ๐ 6,262 karmaMay 5, 2025It seems to be working fine right now. Maybe try again and double check if youโre using the bookโs original or most recognized title. That might make a difference. -

14,177194Released 2y agoFrom $5I paid 10.00 and on the same day I cancelled my subscription. After providing me with a summary of a specific book, it also gives me the 10 main quotes from the book. I purchased the book from Kindle, so I tried to match the quotes given by booknotes with the Kindle book, and none of the quotes are on the book. In other words, booknotes created the quotes... If the quotes are fabricated by AI, what else in the summary is also not accurate? I still want to give this site the benefit that they will get it right, but right now, I cannot recommend it as a reliable tool.
