Their friendly staff are ever present on the Secret Desires Discord site, and advice / help is always available. I've been on other similar platforms, and there is no question that this one is the best. -

Soulkyn has been the best AI service I've used. I've been a premium user for a year now and the dev team (of 1 person!) and CEO have continued to improve the site and remain active in the community and discord. They continually update the chat model for improved user experience, and despite the occasional set back and need to roll back to an earlier model, the chat quality continues to improve. I personally appreciate that they want the user experience to improve. There are no copyrighted characters allowed, so the site only has original characters instead of a flood of the same anime girl. I'll continue supporting Soulkyn as it's only improved since I've started using it. -

The video feels real, the images are top quality, and the voice actually sounds natural instead of robotic. Conversations respond fast and feel consistent. Nothing feels fake or half-built here. Honestly, there’s nothing else like it right now. Highly recommended.

There are only 5 messages in trial mode so difficult to really explore it. My initial observations: - Images are alright but still kind of fake looking - The AIs immediately concede to anything you say, there's no real sense of depth or personality. - Doesn't re-focus the input box after sending a chat (on Firefox) - The AI I talked to asked if I wanted to hear her voice, to which I said yes, then she said "Sorry I don't do voice or video here." lol. Why did you ask me then?

Fantasy AI gets a small nod for its concept, themed characters with fantasy-inspired personalities have real potential if executed well. Unfortunately, that potential is quickly wasted. The 240-character text limit makes real conversation impossible, there’s no calling function, and users can’t adjust or input memories for continuity. The male and female character selection is painfully limited, and all characters are straight; something users should know before jumping in. After a handful of messages, you’re forced to upgrade and pay, which kills the experience before it even starts. If Fantasy AI wants to be taken seriously in the companionship AI space, it needs to extend message length, introduce inclusive character options, add memory input, and unlock a calling feature. Right now, it doesn’t come close to what Character AI delivers in realism, diversity, or depth.

Feels like a REAL TINDER experience. - It’s a FULL DATING SIMULATOR. You can’t just write “send boobs” and get what you want—you need to socialize, give compliments, and build connections. Some profiles send nudes quickly, but you need to find those. - The pictures are HIGH QUALITY and look real. You can ask for specific ones, like “send a photo of you cooking,” and she’ll send it. If a girl says she’s painting, you can ask her to send a picture, and she’ll send one of herself painting. - The AI REMEMBERS conversations and context. For example, if you say you’re going to the gym, the girl might ask about your workout the next day. - Conversations feel NATURAL. Girls chat like real people, showing interest, discussing topics, and sometimes trolling you. Cons: - The chat sometimes lags, and you have to reload the page. - Matches require stars, but you start with 100, which is more than enough. - Occasionally, girls send photos out of context or react oddly to messages. - Some profiles might block you for “harassment,” even if unintentional. Overall, the service is impressive. It’s like a real Tinder, but with more options and control. The full release could be a real game-changer. -

It also includes a calling function, showing an attempt to create a more immersive experience. Unfortunately, the barriers to actually using it are far too high. Clicking the link redirects you to gptgirlfriend.online, and from there you’re forced to sign up before you can even interact. The free tier only allows 10 messages before locking you out, and the calling function is hidden behind a hefty $35 per month subscription. Those restrictions make the experience feel frustrating and overpriced. If BoyfriendGPT wants to win users over, it needs to ease up on the paywalls, offer a real free plan with more breathing room, and rework its pricing to something reasonable. Compared with Character AI, which delivers long-term conversations and immersion without these walls, BoyfriendGPT just doesn’t stack up.

Dolores feels stuck in the past. The website looks outdated, with the last visible update dating back to 2024, which doesn’t inspire confidence. To make matters worse, there’s no way to access it without an iOS device, since everything is locked behind the app. That kind of restriction immediately limits its reach and usability. Against industry benchmarks like Character AI, Dolores doesn’t hold up. Character AI not only stays current but also gives users a free, flexible, and accessible experience across platforms. In contrast, Dolores feels neglected and inaccessible, making it difficult to take seriously as a competitor in the companion AI space. If the developers want Dolores to be relevant, they need to modernise the platform, commit to consistent updates, and open access beyond iOS. Until then, it falls far short of what users can expect elsewhere.

Hi Tealgreen, appreciate the honest feedback. Just to clarify — if you register for free you actually get 10 free messages with each character, so you can try them out a bit more. You can also just use Flirtcam.ai as a regular chat experience like the other AI girlfriend sites, plus it comes with custom AI image generation. The video cam part is more of an extra layer / other UX — you can switch into it whenever you want. We know the video side is still early in development and possibilities, but on a bigger screen it already feels way more personal than plain text chat. We’re working hard on the innovations and bringing new possibilities in video and voice, so hope you will visit again soon to try it. Excited to hear feedback from you again.

I can't tell if it's arrogance, stupidity or something else but asking for a year long subscription on a VERY clearly early in development app is absurd. The filters are limited and frankly the worst selection you could have gone for - Nationality??!! Really???!! Two 'tiers' of "Pro" presented visually but you get redirected to the same exact itch.io payment page at the higher price. This while the site boldly claim a 75% off promo. Blatant scam.
