Mary Kate Fain🙏 18 karmaOct 23, 2025@ShakespeareI love that Shakespeare is totally open source and fully focused on allowing users to build with freedom, rather than just another AI SaaS trying to lock users into a subscription tier. You can use it with any other AI provider, or pay as you go for credits with Shakespeare's default AI. It's really easy to talk to the app, build a first draft, and deploy. I also like how you can edit other open source projects and improve them. Really cool tool for people who want to build with AI but care about open source and freedom.

I started with OpenClaw on a sandboxed environment on my Mac, but now trying ZeroClaw on a very old Thinkpad with Ubuntu. Feels more non-dev friendly and seems to handle security better.

Warp is probably the best CLI on the Mac Platform, even better when you are in the middle of that complex linux string and you think How do I...just ask the AI and it will give you that answer you forget all those years ago.

Z.ai — v5Repositioned as the new flagship for “agentic engineering,” targeting longer-horizon agent tasks end to end. Introduces a dedicated programming-enhanced variant (“GLM-5-Code”) for more stable tool-invoking coding agents. Stronger front-end generation accuracy called out explicitly for pages, animations, minigames, and 3D outputs. Coding and agent performance is claimed as open-source SOTA, with usability approaching Claude Opus 4.5. Keeps the same 200K context baseline while shifting the focus to higher reliability on long-range execution.
