OpenClawv2026.3.12
Overview
OpenClaw is an AI-powered personal assistant designed to automate a range of tasks across multiple platforms. It integrates with existing chat platforms such as WhatsApp and Telegram, allowing users to interact with it in the same way they would with a coworker, making it unique in its open communication.
The AI can handle tasks ranging from email management, scheduling, to checking in for flights, offering a cross-functional utility approach to streamline multiple aspects of both personal and professional life.
The tool is open-source with a growing community enhancing its skills and features. Notably, user data and context remain on the user's device, not on a cloud, adding a layer of security and raising the user control over one's data.
It uses a persistent memory functionality which ensures the context is continually carried, giving it a sense of chronology and evolution. Moreover, OpenClaw can proactively perform tasks such as setting reminders or executing background tasks.
The platform is built to be adaptive, responding to a variety of user demands, thus moving towards building AI as a teammate rather than a simple tool.
Despite its already remarkable capabilities, OpenClaw is continuously improving, with the potential to serve in various contexts such as company assistant, family assistant, or in a team setting.

Vladimir Gromozdin🙏 3 karmaFeb 18, 2026@TendemI work on the Tendem team, so take this with that context — but I also use the product constantly for my own work. I've used Tendem to research AI directories — finding relevant ones, pulling submission requirements, organizing everything into a spreadsheet I could act on. I've also used it for copy edits — sending over drafts and getting back tightened, polished versions without going back and forth with a prompt ten times. The thing that keeps me coming back is how little I have to think about the handoff. I describe what I need, send it, and move on to something else. It's slower than getting a ChatGPT response, sure. But I get something finished — not a starting point I still need to rework. When you use AI tools for this kind of work, you trade waiting time for cleanup time. Tendem flips that. I'd rather wait and get a result I can use than get a fast draft I have to fix myself.
