It was only in place during our early launch (before login) to prevent abuse; now that sign‑in is live, it’s no longer needed. • The free plan currently includes 2 song generations per day plus unlimited listening/streaming. (Downloads are available on paid plans.) Upside: Amazing quality, full-length songs, intelligent use of timing change-ups and key changes. Downside: A very, very miserly 3 free creation credits and the only way to get more is to subscribe. Overall: Using this felt like easily 1-2 generations ahead of competitors like Udio. I guess that's why it isn't free.

Judging by the sign-ups and upgrades, it looks like more people are finding it useful. You are right about #1 and that line does sound a bit dishonest and salesy - which was unintentional so I’m changing that. It was very real though and we carefully baked in tiny little details for our upgraded users. For eg, we have invited most of our upgraded users to try the mobile apps’ TestFlight version.
