Packback
Overview
Packback is an AI learning platform designed to facilitate inquiry-based discussion, writing assignments, and instructor coaching. The platform offers various AI-powered functionality elements, specifically 'Packback Questions', an award-winning student discussion platform and 'Packback Deep Dives', a feedback platform for writing assignments.
Packback Questions aim to engage curiosity, build community, increase motivation, and support writing practice through AI coaching to help students improve their questioning and response skills.
Packback Deep Dives, on the other hand, looks to enhance students' writing skills and confidence on written assignments by providing instant AI-powered coaching.
The tool further assists in streamlining the grading process of writing assignments through a grading assistant that conforms to the user's specific rubric.
One of the distinguishable features of Packback is its Instructional AI which enhances critical thinking and writing skills by providing instant feedback, thereby allowing educators to focus their attention on enhancing students' ideas.
The AI does not write for students, it educates them on how to be stronger writers and critical thinkers. Packback's Instructional AI also functions as a grading assistant, handling the mechanical aspects of managing and grading assignments, hence providing more time for educators to focus on their students' content and offer meaningful, personalized feedback.

OpenKarl Herdersch🛠️ 1 tool 🙏 32 karmaJul 10, 2025@IRL PLAYground👋 Karl, Co-founder here. We built IRL PLAYground because we believe a child’s first contact with AI should be ethical, creative, and human-centered. Not a tool that replaces their teachers and play environments, but one that works alongside them to unlock imagination and the potential of learning spaces. This first release focuses on the invisible work teachers carry: lesson planning, materials, classroom flow. Not flashy, but foundational. We didn’t build an MVP. We built the infrastructure of play. And this is just the start. It’s designed to be in classrooms now, and soon we’ll bring it into the home. If you’re a teacher or parent, we’d love your feedback, all ideas welcome. Share to those that need it, and let’s build this together. -

Profoundly expensive. They are charging $79 per month on a yearly subscription. The free version has few ais available. If you opt for the monthly subscription you'll be morgaging your family at $99 per month. I don't know any teachers who could afford that even in the short term. There are far less expensive ai options out there which are just as good.

Wide range of generators but free version is hamstrung by having one generation per day. The next lowest plan is 10.00GBP /month and is still expensive.
