It has its moments, but lately its laughably bad. You want long contemplatice dark ambient with slowly spoken lyrics? Ver. 5 will make it into 3-4 mins song with lyrics delivered too fast, while 4.5 will make them screamed, shouted after a minute or so. Sometimes it even sings the prompt which I wrote in the "Styles" section. If I could edit my rating I'd rate 1/5 now. While extending/adding new sections of the song Suno doesn't remember the voice it's used for vocals so goodbye consistency and welcome bunch of completely unrelated vocals. F U Suno AI, F U.

Obviously, the major flaw of Suno that stops me from even generating more than one song to test, it's the fact that its dataset was created by ripping off the music industry for your. It could have been great, but it was ruined by the creators choosing the unethical pathway, which many are trying to avoid, only to have Suno shatter any credibility that AI is gaining, against the theft ideology. To see people actually profiting from any created with Suno is degrading, honestly, for people fighting for ethical AI datasets. And charging for it, it's even more despicable, not that it would make it okay to be free, obviously. Honestly, there are free, trained on public domain samples, that are better tools in music creation than this. People just want everything done immediately without doing too much. Truly a shame that the creator chose the faster way by stealing than on working to create a great AI app without being thieves and helping degrading any AI tool created.

Amazing how technology can create everything from lyrics to music to voice. But for Suno, one recommendation is to give choices of voice that I would like to use, that probably will be more exciting (currently most of the male voice all sound similar to current crops of singers).

I think it's a very good app. I really like it and have done a lot of work with my students. I'm already a subscriber, but I still need to improve things like the language, because for other languages, it's not always easy to get the voices right and to translate the lyrics correctly, especially Portuguese from Portugal, which is always mixed with Portuguese from Brazil. Another thing that needs to be improved is that the lyrics are mixed with the text describing the style and this immediately spoils the song, as the text is not part of the lyrics. But I'll give it a 5* because I know it's still in the process of being perfected.

Suno was excellent at version 2, but began deteriorating since. Major problem is that Suno is unable to fix the artificial sound of the songs both in instruments and in voice. It has sacrificed its natural sound for features that may be unnecessary.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the accusations that they ripped off the music of the greatest artists of all time from around the world to build a model and then are getting sued like crazy so trying to replace those artists with training sets that aren’t even close? Or maybe creating synthetic data out of copies of copies of music and it’s degrading? Or maybe it’s because now that you can’t type make me a song that sounds like a swedish pop group with the letter A in it active in the 70s....
