been using it mostly for reading practice. i've read articles or texts and had the ai voice read each word out loud. you can hover over words/phrases to get instant translations and even simplify the language if it's too complex. it's great that you can also upload your own content or pick from news and other stuff. nice mix of listening

I have worked on the production of lots of language learning software and I really like what I see. I love the connection between the reading and the opportunity to speak about the topic after. I think the level of the content might be a bit high. I need to do some tests in other languages I speak. I tried Polish and chose the the lowest level ( that is not actually my level but I was interested to see how it would deal with low level students). The level was too high. I think you could do more with the dictionary too. I love the idea that I can save my works directly from the text I am reading. The translations are a bit basic. It would be great if you could give some example sentences based around the word. I have a big following on YouTube and I specialise in language learning technology and I would be happy to promote this. Well done.

Hi Russell, Thank you for the feedback! We are aware of the problem with complexity for beginners and we’re constantly looking for LLMs that are able to simplify texts as far as possible. All texts are based on real life daily publications, so going to A1 will probably not be feasible soon. We did, however, reach A2 for some languages. :) The current idea is to help beginners in a way other than just a simplified text, maybe some games. > give some example sentences based around the word That’s a good point! When you click on the ”Chat” button, the teacher appears, but there is no button or icon with a cross in the upper-right corner. When answering the teacher’s question, a premium class purchase request appears, and the lesson cannot be continued.

The cross icon is on the paywall that you see after onboarding, not in a chat (neither the intro, not regular, nor situations, nor text discussions nor custom lesson chat). Since it’s a bit unclear what exactly screen you are looking at, here’s a manual on how to leave a regular chat: if you are in a desktop version simply click ”complete”, if you are in a mobile version click the back arrow, then choose ”just quit”. If you, however, wish to restart a given chat choose ”restart” in that dialog.

Waited ages for it to load, but nothing When I tried to contact you on the site about it I got an error message, even though I went through the registering proccess with no problems and was properly signed in. I like the interface and all the variety of activities but I’ve found the leveling system to be rather inaccurate. I’m in advanced speaker of Korean, and after doing the level test and manually adjusting my level, I still receive activities related to beginner Korean grammar. Overall, I think it’s a great idea, but it might still need some tweaking regarding levels.

The topics are very clear and practice sections are very good. But only one you can learn at a time. If we want to switch or see the content of another course not possible. Before starting the course it doesn't offer to see the Topics covered under the particular section. If we remove current learning path we are not able to select another learning path in the same day.

As they progress by practicing and learning, more rewards open up—including creating multiple learning paths a day and learning and practicing more. Having the ability to remove and create new learning paths for all users again has associated AI-processing costs, which would be harder to cover with more users. Since you find the platform helpful, I encourage you to try the Premium free trial, which includes nearly unlimited content and learning capabilities!

Love this so much! THis is one of the best language learning tools I've used. It's almost a 5 star review from me but just missing some things that would make it perfect: -Ability to choose what “level” you are at. As is, I don’t think this is a platform for a beginner, it’s more geared towards someone who can already hold some type of conversation and needs practice. THere are also not a whole lot of beginner friendly articles, either. -To that end, would love to have some part of it be actual lessons or for it to integrate with other language learning programs like Duolingo or Rosetta Stone or something. -Sometimes it does not pick up the right words and will assume I’ve said something correctly when I haven’t. Even still, I find I’m using this almost daily to practice Portuguese since my family is not around. And they have Portuguese from Portugal where most apps do not (usually just Brazilian, which is significantly different.) Would highly recommend!

Hi Cyan, Thank you very much for your review! We are indeed actively looking for a way to close the gap for beginners. We plan to do it via our chat, however, not via articles, as on an early stage people tend to acquire language better through interaction. We plan to release a first version of "novice panel" this weekend for some language pairs, a simple tool that would help beginners with language basics.

I was just chatting with the AI bot and did 3 French lessons, it was really good, seemed to recognise my voice/accent perfectly. But then it said "she" was tired and needed to rest, but I could buy premium for infinite energy. I'd be tempted to do so, but it didn't say how much it would cost? I appreciate that it might tell me the cost if I click "yes please" but also, as I've linked my google account to sign in, I'm hesitant to do that with a website that I don't know incase it charges me immediately. I would recommend that you make this process clearer on your website, I imagine that many people will leave and never come back once they are asked to upgrade but not told the price! Before that, it was working very well. If I knew the cost of subscription, I'd be interested in using it regularly to practice conversation.

I really like the concept but it is for learners who have more than a basic understanding of the language they wish to learn. I will learn my ABCs and go back to it because I believe it could be perfect for me.
