I tried Animon for a bit and it’s actually pretty solid. It does a good job with simple animations and keeps the original image style pretty well, so the results usually look clean.

This started from a small frustration that wouldn't go away: I'd open 12 tabs for "research," skim none of them properly, and close my laptop feeling more behind than when I started. The web rewards reading speed, not reading depth — and I wanted a tool that flipped that. I'm giving it two stars because it does do an ok job on videos but I would NOT recommend this. The "free trial" gives you 80 credits. It's not even enough to make a 60 second video so you can't really "trial" anything. I then spent $35 to make a 60 second video and I did two edits to it and I only have 451 credits left for the month. Until the costs come down, this is not feasible.

i love it i use it to teach me Italian and ukranian and programing ! and it awesome , because it allows you in the free version send many prints of your screen , not having to explain all the errors by typing diferent from gpt that you can only send 3 photos in the free version. i also use grok to study i frist make the exercise in my book then i take a photo of my exercise then i ask it to see if there is any mistake and dissipate my terryble handwriting it understands

Really solid on Windows. I’ve tried several similar transcription tools before, but this one feels much better integrated into the system. The customizable global shortcuts are a game changer, you can either just do plain transcription or trigger your own custom prompts/actions with Adifferent hotkeys. A lot of competitors do Aroughly the same thing, but EchoWrite stands out because the basic transcription is essentially free (you just need your own OpenAI API key, which costs next to nothing). If you want the custom prompts and translations, it’s a one-time payment instead of yet another subscription. In 2026 that’s actually pretty fair compared to everything else out there. Big thumbs up.
