Mikael Jones🙏 4 karmaJun 10, 2026@TranscripToolBeen using TranscriptTool whenever I need to quickly turn short videos into text. I like that it keeps things simple and makes it easier to review claims or pull quotes without having to watch clips repeatedly. Handy tool for anyone dealing with video content regularly. -

Gave it a quick try and it seems like a useful tool. I'm not 100% sure how accurate it is yet, will get a paid account to test more. An article I put in as a test that was written by AI but manipulated a few times and passed other AI detectors scored 99% AI in this app. Pretty huge difference! They way they quote pricing is misleading. They say 1 credit for 100 words BUT that is for AI detection OR plagiarism/readability. If you have both turned on, it is double that. Still a fairly reasonable price but not thrilled with how they quietly slip in a 100% price increase.

Discover WriteHuman's AI Detector: distinguishing between AI-generated and human-written text.Open

I tried it and it worked perfectly on something I knew was AI generated.

Heya Tech! The app used to be free, but it looks like it’s been updated to a paid only plan starting at $12.95 per month.

Slop Or Not is the world’s first and only on-device AI content detector for iPhone. Check text and images with 100% privacy and no uploads. It catches C2PA/IPTC watermarked images from ChatGPT, Gemini, Flux, and Grok with 100% accuracy, plus 95% for AI text (no word limits) and 90% for other AI images. We trained compact models that run locally, outperform many cloud tools, and work offline. Great for students as well as pros like journalists, lawyers or anyone handling sensitive content

More than a GPT, Factiverse has a whole range of web-based tools and APIs that check whether something you're or others are writing, saying, analyzing, researching, and studying are true based on trusted sources, showing both the articles/entries/research that agrees, and the counterpoints so you can make a human decision. The API can also be used to eradicate hallucinations from AI applications. Super impressed

OpenI tried different chats between me and Chat and also Claude. There is an 80% chance this detecter is full of shit. Of all the text where i actually spoke my thoughts to ChatGpt, it was flagged as AI written. Just... WTF??
-
It is free and provides decent summery and advice I wish it could do an entire pass of a text it can only examine a limited selection so if you have a large text you want to run through you have to do a lot of Copy & Paste then confirm every time your a human. Still it is a free tool and works well for what its designed to do.

Either I write like AI, or this tool is really bad at telling the difference. I question these detectors, especially when you give them something you know you wrote and they claim it is 80% AI-generated. I tested it by pasting in something I wrote entirely on my own, without using AI. I didn’t even proofread it, just ran a basic spell check, and that was it. The tool still claimed that 80% of it was written by AI. Then it rewrites the supposedly “AI-generated” text using AI, which essentially makes it AI-written. 😆 That’s kind of a weird concept.
