Serenity Sponsor is a General Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) designed to offer support akin to a 12-step style sponsor for individual dealing with addiction, depression and recovery.

It has been modelled to offer nonjudgmental and anonymous interactions, intended to aid an individual's recovery journey. Despite its supportive nature, it's important to note that it is not intended to replace formal therapy or sponsorship but rather to supplement it.

Users can engage in confidential conversations as the tool is privately accessible. Developed by Edwin Spencer Grier, members can sign up to chat with the Serenity Sponsor.

Access to the tool requires the ChatGPT Plus subscription. Upon interaction, a welcome message is presented to the user to establish a supportive environment.

The GPT also introduces prompt starters to guide the conversations when support is needed; these prompts might include expressions of struggle with recovery, feelings of giving up, urges to revert behaviors or inquiries about the 12-step process itself.
