This started from a small frustration that wouldn't go away: I'd open 12 tabs for "research," skim none of them properly, and close my laptop feeling more behind than when I started. The web rewards reading speed, not reading depth — and I wanted a tool that flipped that. So I built GetTheGists: a Chrome extension that gives you the gist of any page in 3 seconds, then lets you ask follow-up questions like you would a smart friend who already read it. A few things we went out of our way to get right: - Cognitive hierarchy, not walls of text. Every summary is structured as Gist → Why It Matters → Key Takeaways → Implications. Compression before precision. - Ask, don't just read. Hit the page with follow-ups, get answers grounded in the content. - 20 languages, full dark mode, and a resizable side panel that actually respects your screen. What surprised me building this: the hardest part wasn't the AI — it was deciding what not to show. Every iteration was about removing a section, not adding one. I use Finepoint all the time. it just makes things easy. I tend to be wordy, and Finepoint captures the context perfectly and delivers much more succinct copy. -

I tried testing Seedance 2.0 on several platforms, but most of them required a membership upgrade first — even Dreamina. SeeGen AI offers a free trial, and that’s the main reason I recommend it.

As tempting as it is, why pay for it if Google AI Studio (https://aistudio.google.com/generate-speech) offers the same for free? Nothing beats "gratis!" Besides, which author can afford so many monthly payments if he or she is not Steven King, who'd rather buy a whole studio with a dozen professional human narrators? ;-) THX

OpenEasily saves me an hour every day - I no longer have to type long winded “professional” sounding email replies to my colleagues, I just speak roughly with minimal effort 👏 -
$20 LET ALONE $100!! is way to expensive for this, and they dont have an unlimited amount of generations even then. The UI is wonderful tho, but the prompts only work half the time (but props to the ui engineers)

The speech sounded more natural than I expected, and there was a wide variety of avatars to choose from. I’ve also been using the custom avatar feature, which has been very useful.

They deceive - they advertise functionalities that turn out to be in the Pro version, which again has to be purchased. For some languages, the voices are quite old and sound robotic.

the autocomplete suggestions actually matched my tone and flow. the referencing tool is a lifesaver too, no more flipping between tabs. super smooth inside Word. gonna keep using it for sure

its a language simulator but it comes up in text editor results. it only reveals its not an editor after we create an account. the creator has no integrity

Just tried the tool and printed my first 3D model, and I’m honestly surprised by how good it came out. It was super easy to use, and the final print matched my reference image perfectly. Congrats to the Mimetic Labs team for building such a simple but super cool tool.

Really simple approach - you select the part of the page you want the summary to be inserted, add a question to the article or it just sticks to the prompt you defined (even the standard prompt is a fun inspiration - never thought about letting the AI read an article from the angle of my professional background or let it build fun analogies for even the darkest articles). I use it to send articles from website directly to my Kindle - so you can basically read AI summarized articles on Kindle. Of course it could be extended but with the basic features it does the job.

I'm giving it two stars because it does do an ok job on videos but I would NOT recommend this. The "free trial" gives you 80 credits. It's not even enough to make a 60 second video so you can't really "trial" anything. I then spent $35 to make a 60 second video and I did two edits to it and I only have 451 credits left for the month. Until the costs come down, this is not feasible.

Been using it for the past few days and it is exactly what I hoped it was. Nothing complicated, does exactly what it says it does without the fluff. The analysis section is great, does not produce canned summaries. It appears to be doing something different for every different type of topic, which is great. Still playing with it.
