This started from a small frustration that wouldn't go away: I'd open 12 tabs for "research," skim none of them properly, and close my laptop feeling more behind than when I started. The web rewards reading speed, not reading depth — and I wanted a tool that flipped that. So I built GetTheGists: a Chrome extension that gives you the gist of any page in 3 seconds, then lets you ask follow-up questions like you would a smart friend who already read it. A few things we went out of our way to get right: - Cognitive hierarchy, not walls of text. Every summary is structured as Gist → Why It Matters → Key Takeaways → Implications. Compression before precision. - Ask, don't just read. Hit the page with follow-ups, get answers grounded in the content. - 20 languages, full dark mode, and a resizable side panel that actually respects your screen. What surprised me building this: the hardest part wasn't the AI — it was deciding what not to show. Every iteration was about removing a section, not adding one. It's free to try (Premium and Pro tiers if you want higher limits). I'd love your honest feedback — especially on the summary format and where it falls short on your favorite kind of page. As tempting as it is, why pay for it if Google AI Studio (https://aistudio.google.com/generate-speech) offers the same for free? Nothing beats "gratis!" Besides, which author can afford so many monthly payments if he or she is not Steven King, who'd rather buy a whole studio with a dozen professional human narrators? ;-) THX

it got nothing free (absolutely). it only lets you write 300 characters (not words) then asks to pay for the citations. but if your paying, this might be the best one your looking for.

They deceive - they advertise functionalities that turn out to be in the Pro version, which again has to be purchased. For some languages, the voices are quite old and sound robotic.

Smartexam is disappointing compared to other quiz tools. The paid version is more expensive than competitors but lacks key features. It doesn’t adapt to different student skill levels, offers no tutoring support, and you can’t navigate back and forth during quizzes. Also, the answer format makes it too easy to guess the correct choice. Not worth the price.

Amazing AI to create a WordPress website with all the basics in less than a minute. If you feed it with enough details in your prompt, it will really create nice text for your website. It can also create subpages like About Us, Contact Us, blog, etc. The standard ones. Everything looks great, apart from the fact that the UI of the created website for you is limited to less than 10 variations. I'm pretty sure they will add more layouts or unlimited layouts, but at the moment isn't yet there. Once it can create tens of different and custom theme layouts for the outcome, then it will win the hearts of all who want to build with WP.

Been using it for the past few days and it is exactly what I hoped it was. Nothing complicated, does exactly what it says it does without the fluff. The analysis section is great, does not produce canned summaries. It appears to be doing something different for every different type of topic, which is great. Still playing with it.
