If you opt for the monthly subscription you'll be morgaging your family at $99 per month. I don't know any teachers who could afford that even in the short term. There are far less expensive ai options out there which are just as good.

There definitely are some kinks they can still work out like file management, but it’s very good at it’s core function: it generally does a good job answering questions and most times identifies PDFs automatically and correctly. The browser plugin works great, and it’s very nice that Papers allows you to add your university’s library API so you can automatically download PDFs that are accessible through your institution (sometimes it refuses to download some papers, so you just have to downlow it yourself and manually add it). The iPad and Android apps are serviceable. Every once in a while it will mess up the PDF identification, especially with papers from either very old sources or online-only journals. Things they must work on: * A much better system to annotate PDFs (the post-it type notes are cumbersome). * Introduce a notepad attached to each PDF or some way to easily link and save the AI’s output to the PDF. Currently, you have to add a little post it note and then paste the text there. * Keep the AI answers available after closing the documents. If you close the document by mistake or have several open and wish to close some, the ai conversation will be reset. * I REALLY wish that you could get citations and links to where the info was from extracted from PDFs. Currently, I have found Coral.ai does a much better job of showing you where the info came from and it even highlights it for you. Give it a try, their 30-day no credit card needed trial allowed me to truly test it, and now I’m a yearly subscriber looking forward for new additions and releases.

Either the lighting was off, the setting felt too generic, or I’d see the same image pop up on a dozen other websites. Editing them to match my brand took more time than it was worth. I started using Aux Machina a few weeks ago, and it’s completely changed my workflow. Instead of searching endlessly for something that’s *close enough*, I can just describe what I want—like a product sitting on a clean, minimalist desk with soft natural lighting, and get an image that actually fits. For example, I needed holiday-themed images with a specific color palette to match my brand, and instead of settling for whatever stock sites had available, I generated exactly what I had in mind. The images look high-quality and professional, and I don’t have to worry about my competitors using the same ones. It’s saved me a ton of time, and the results feel a lot more unique and custom. I still use some stock images here and there, but for anything that needs to stand out, this has been a much better solution.

But due to website updates, etc it might randomly stop working and then support is nearly impossible to reach, takes about 5-7 messages for them to responds resulting lots of lost time. Needs much better/responsive support to be a great tool.
