I really enjoy using Remini, but I can only rate it three stars for two main reasons: 1. The ads in the free version are too long and disrupt the experience. 2. The pro version is extremely expensive, making it hard to justify the upgrade.

I tried three of the alternatives (below) that offered free trials. They were OK. Then I downloaded the desktop (Mac) trial version (6.3.3) of Gigapixel AI. The differences among all four can be subtle, but I pre-ordered vers. 7 of Gigapixel on the basis of that testing. And now, all I can say is "Wow!" I am an amateur photographer, not a professional, so your experience/opinion may vary. But as an amateur, let me repeat: "Wow!"

A huge loss of detail after AI editing, because photos are only blurred (making it look sharper) and not really sharpened! Post-processing or correction is not possible.

Excellent to restore old interlaced video, and to add FPS in order to make the motion smooth. The best part is that is accessible in browser, from any device, no equipment request.

It clearly states that you need to use Google Colab or your own server. However, I totally agree that the claim of unlimited image generation is misleading. There should be an app for mobile devices and PCs. I bought this on the first day with high expectations, and I was very disappointed. I ended up creating my own setup on Colab, and I’m moving it to a local software build that doesn’t depend on VMs.

1) I like that it can produce many diff image sizes and multiple images. 2) Does a nice job of embellishing the prompt. 3) Nice that it can take in a specific Seed. 4) BUT I found it hard to replicate a specific character. Tried loading a pic or providing a link to it. Neither seemed to work.

Tried to fix a cropped travel photo and it worked great. The AI naturally expanded the sky and beach, so the image fit a 16:9 YouTube thumbnail without any visible seams or quality loss.

I built Forevi after trying to restore my own family photos, especially for my grandpa. He doesn’t really care about physical gifts anymore, but he does care about memories: his youth, his family, the small things that mattered to him. Every tool I tried either changed faces, added fake filters, or made everything look overly smooth. So I built a full restoration workflow: restore → colorize → enhance/upscale → animate → add sound. Very nice lighting and some mildly interesting results when generating image, though hit or miss as it does not adhere well to the text prompt. Could not upscale an image at all. Waited over 20 minutes, and just quit. Don't waste your time.
