This is an amazing free app that uses community created characters. All AI processing is done on your local computer and doesn’t get loaded to some cloud database. Also, there is a paid cloud service that’s $15 a month but that’s not the focus of what they provide.

I have been using this app for a month on a laptop with just 4GB of VRAM, and it has been performing exceptionally well. Surprisingly, it's the only available option for local voice recognition that operates without an internet connection. A great tool without a doubt. However I prefer to have something that stays under my sight, like a separate app or a browser extension.

No way to seemingly download it, though. Accepts your email address, doesn't provide a confirmation, doesn't indicate that access is coming. Just hand over your email address for a promise. Also, seemingly relies heavily on other services API, open AI, Anthropic, etc. This stuff should be clear from the outset.
