been using it mostly for reading practice. i've read articles or texts and had the ai voice read each word out loud. you can hover over words/phrases to get instant translations and even simplify the language if it's too complex. it's great that you can also upload your own content or pick from news and other stuff. nice mix of listening

I have worked on the production of lots of language learning software and I really like what I see. I love the connection between the reading and the opportunity to speak about the topic after. I think the level of the content might be a bit high. I need to do some tests in other languages I speak. I tried Polish and chose the the lowest level ( that is not actually my level but I was interested to see how it would deal with low level students). The level was too high. I think you could do more with the dictionary too. I love the idea that I can save my works directly from the text I am reading. The translations are a bit basic. It would be great if you could give some example sentences based around the word. I have a big following on YouTube and I specialise in language learning technology and I would be happy to promote this. Well done.

Hi Russell, Thank you for the feedback! We are aware of the problem with complexity for beginners and we’re constantly looking for LLMs that are able to simplify texts as far as possible. All texts are based on real life daily publications, so going to A1 will probably not be feasible soon. We did, however, reach A2 for some languages. :) The current idea is to help beginners in a way other than just a simplified text, maybe some games. > give some example sentences based around the word That’s a good point! When you click on the ”Chat” button, the teacher appears, but there is no button or icon with a cross in the upper-right corner. When answering the teacher’s question, a premium class purchase request appears, and the lesson cannot be continued.

The cross icon is on the paywall that you see after onboarding, not in a chat (neither the intro, not regular, nor situations, nor text discussions nor custom lesson chat). Since it’s a bit unclear what exactly screen you are looking at, here’s a manual on how to leave a regular chat: if you are in a desktop version simply click ”complete”, if you are in a mobile version click the back arrow, then choose ”just quit”. If you, however, wish to restart a given chat choose ”restart” in that dialog.

The homepage is stuck on The White Wheel Of Death. Waited ages for it to load, but nothing When I tried to contact you on the site about it I got an error message, even though I went through the registering proccess with no problems and was properly signed in. I checked other pages and sites and all were working as normal. Bad look for a launch, although I understand these things happen. Rushed, maybe?

I like the interface and all the variety of activities but I’ve found the leveling system to be rather inaccurate. I’m in advanced speaker of Korean, and after doing the level test and manually adjusting my level, I still receive activities related to beginner Korean grammar. Overall, I think it’s a great idea, but it might still need some tweaking regarding levels.
