Honestly SurfSense is amazing, I use it almost every morning to get an mp3/podcast of my Gmail, Gcal and urgent Linear tickets so I know exactly what's going on that day. It's also insane for board games because I just throw the rulebooks in and share it with my friends so we can chat with the AI together to figure out how to play. And it is scarily good at untangling and explaining really complex rules when we encounter some weird situation! -

Currently, the website provides free text-to-speech (TTS) with emotions without requiring registration. You can generate 50,000 characters using generic Microsoft voices which are available also within any ReadAloud/Read out Loud apps. However, these voices lack emotion, but you can generate 5,000 characters with emotion per generation for free. Firstly, you have to select a voice, preview it, and then select it - paste your text or write it down and after a few minutes, you can listen and download it for free. However, the website's reviews are likely fake, suggesting that this free service might not last long.

After upgrading to an iPhone 13, I found that I couldn't log into my existing account on the new phone, forcing me to create a new account. Now, I have two separate Kin accounts on different phones. Today, when I accessed the beta version of Kin, I got a notification stating that the test version ended on Monday, September 23rd. It instructed me to back up my data and move to the official Kin app. I did as advised—backed up my data, confirmed, uninstalled the beta app via TestFlight, and installed the official Kin app. However, when I attempted to “log in”, I was still unable to access my existing account. This issue hasn't been resolved yet. I have been trying desperately to get in contact with the support team. I left feedback through the test flight app and sent emails. No response. Now trying to find a forums, Reddit posts, TAAFT comments☻ -

Vocallab AI is honestly the easiest tool I’ve ever used. The interface is super simple and intuitive. Generations take less than 2 seconds. The quality is also incredible. The voices sound very realistic — almost like real people. AudioScribe has been really helpful for turning meeting recordings into clean transcripts without much hassle. Great AI voices, though still monotonous and robotic, or rather too neutral, with almost zero voice inflections! Excellent to read news, articles, essays, and any nonfiction books. BTW, computers should be allowed to TALK to us for free, like in the Star Trek TV series. Our future grandchildren will laugh at us for "paying" to use this everyday option, biting the hook to "monthly subscriptions" like gullible fish and then getting up to 1,000 words per month" under the so-called Pro version ;-) This is crazy!
