Excellent to read news, articles, essays, and any nonfiction books. BTW, computers should be allowed to TALK to us for free, like in the Star Trek TV series. Our future grandchildren will laugh at us for "paying" to use this everyday option, biting the hook to "monthly subscriptions" like gullible fish and then getting up to 1,000 words per month" under the so-called Pro version ;-) This is crazy!

There are hundreds of programs like that for FREE, so why pay for TSS, if Internet add-ons can do it totally gratis and with "humanlike" voices? I don't get it ;-(

very nice AI. it uses a wealth of words for well-rounded conversation with an eye for detail. The Ai is intelligent and highly sensitive to interaction with speech. Meanwhile, additional features are in development. But image recognition is excellent and artistic image creation is good, and in being developed. The website is very active with an active following and very frequent updates.

When uploading a 30-minute video file, I was surprised to receive the transcript in just a few seconds. The speed and quality of the transcription process blew me away, especially considering the complexity of the video content.

I really like Transkribieren. The free features allowed to me to transcribe PERFECTLY some Youtube downloaded audios, into perfectly written texts (in French). Too bad there are no timestamps, but it did the job I needed it to do.

Sadly they no longer offer this. It was exactly what I was looking for/needed. I chatted with them and they said I could build it using their platform, but nothing more.

It allowed me to specify the name and number to call from but the call was received from unknown caller and a number I don't recognize. The female voice also has a pretty whacky personality..

AI scribe that listens, transcribes, and writes medical documentation.OpenActually it's a cool idea. But I was trying to cancel the subscription as we just tested it for 1 month, but it didn't work. Now I'm trying to stop them to charge me th monthly fee and to refund the months that we were trying to cancel. The only thing I'm getting as answer is, that they can't find me as their customer and they can't help me. I already send them pictures of the bank-transaction and all the amounts they charged from my bank account and they still refuse and say they can't find me as their client. So I'm feeling very bad about that and would highly recommend to think about if you want them to do something like that to you too. Be careful! -
Really bad platform. You have to give a credit card to test it. The quality is really bad and you are forced to use one of their own voices to generate a video. I also uploaded a picture of me and the platform distorted it. Not recomended

WriteTone is a spark in the margins, it snaps verbs awake, nudges cadence into place, then steps back. Not a sculptor, more a metronome. Great when your draft needs oxygen.

OpenSucks because you have to set up an AWS account, which I had, but it was discontinued. Too many hurdles to try "Q" so forget it. ChatGPT4 and other platforms have very low barriers for entry and use. -
Slax Note is extremely user - friendly. Even the elderly can use it. One - click recording is so simple. The whole process, from recording to sharing, is a breeze.

I have been using this app for a month on a laptop with just 4GB of VRAM, and it has been performing exceptionally well. Surprisingly, it's the only available option for local voice recognition that operates without an internet connection. The developer is actively making continuous improvements, enhancing the program's functionalities progressively. I strongly recommend it.

Really solid on Windows. I’ve tried several similar transcription tools before, but this one feels much better integrated into the system. The customizable global shortcuts are a game changer, you can either just do plain transcription or trigger your own custom prompts/actions with Adifferent hotkeys. A lot of competitors do Aroughly the same thing, but EchoWrite stands out because the basic transcription is essentially free (you just need your own OpenAI API key, which costs next to nothing). If you want the custom prompts and translations, it’s a one-time payment instead of yet another subscription. In 2026 that’s actually pretty fair compared to everything else out there. Big thumbs up. -
