Court Reporter
A Court Reporter is responsible for transcribing verbatim recordings of courtroom proceedings, legal depositions, and other legal proceedings. They use stenography machines, voice writing equipment or other real-time reporting technologies to quickly and accurately capture spoken words.
They must have excellent listening and typing skills, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. The transcripts they produce are used as official records and must be accurate, complete and timely.
Court Reporters work in a variety of settings, including courts, legal offices, and government agencies.
